We also bring you THE BIG INTERVIEW and this month we spoke to the founders of Ingatestone Saddlery Centre
“When I met up with Lynda and Barrie, they had recently found out they had won Mail-order/Internet retailer of the year 2009, as well as being runner up in the Large Retailer of the year 2009 category. Add this success to the large number of accolades they have won already, and you will realize how the pairs hard work has got them to where they are today.
Far from resting on their laurels, the pair are hard at work seven days a week continuously improving and developing the business, and should you visit Ingatestone you are bound to see one of them hard at work on the shop floor.
You may be surprised to find out that horses was not in Lynda and Barrie’s blood, their parents weren’t from a ‘horsey’ background, and Lynda’s childhood memories of her mum are her wearing high heels rather than muddy wellies…”
We also caught up with Belinda Johnston, and found out all about the importance of the Human Animal Bond – Dealing with equine bereavement and loss.
“The loss of a pet or an animal, such a horse, to which one has become emotionally bonded can be an intense loss, comparable with the death of a human loved one, or even greater depending on the individuals feelings. While there is strong evidence to support the fact that animals can feel such loss for other animals, this article focuses on human feelings. When an animal is lost, dies or otherwise is departed, we can be affected deeply, and Belinda Johnston looks at how this bereavement for a pet can often be overlooked or misunderstood.”
HoH this month spoke to horse healer Lynette Blackwell
“Whisper Healing works on all levels. Namely physically, emotionally and spiritually. Wise horse men know that their horse is intuitive and spiritual. They are aware that horses react not only to visual and auditory stimuli but are able to pick up and act upon energies. It is these energies that are often responsible for uncharacterised behaviour,”Says Lynette…
This article is a must read for those who want to find out more about what their horse or pony is thinking.
