A recent succession of trailer thefts across Essex has sparked concern with local police officers. A least six trailers have been stolen in the area in the past month alone!
The latest in this spate of thefts is a maroon Ifor Willams 505, 1998 model. The trailer, stolen from the Coggeshall area, has a serial mark of 243553.
The trailer was stolen late at night between 11pm Friday 12th February and 8am Saturday 13th from a property along the A120, situated between Coggeshall and Marks Tey – the thieves even removed a wheel clamp and left it at the scene before taking the trailer.
The trailer has a few distinguishing features including two missing breast bars. It also has two red semi circular bridle hooks screwed into the aluminum at the front of the trailer, just above the window which by now may have been removed but would leave scarring.
