A thirty-year-old horse has been rescued from a swimming pool by two crews of Essex firefighters, who had to drain the pool and use bales of hay to help get the horse out.
The horse, named Tequila, had escaped from its paddock near Chelmsford Road, in White Roding near Dunmow, on Wednesday afternoon on the tenth of February.
Tequila fell into a covered swimming pool at a property on Chelmsford Road and became trapped in the water. It took the two crews almost an hour to free her, after being called to the scene at approximately twelve thirty in the afternoon.
Tequila has been checked over by a vet and she seems uninjured; she is currently staying in a stable to recover from her ordeal.
