Para Dressage WEG update

Abbey Wass October 8, 2010 0

Just one rider was in action yesterday but it was a golden performance! Grade IV rider Sophie Wells with Dr Jacqueline Walker’s Pinocchio impressed the judges to score 71.677 to take the class over Holland’s Frank Hosmar by just over 1.5%.

Sophie commented; “I was quite pleased with my test. He was a little difficult to warm up but I thought the trot work was actually quite good. He came against me a little bit but softened. When we rode in here on Monday, he was quite distracted by the open corners but today he was much better.”

Later on today all our other riders will be in action with Ricky Balshaw and Emma Sheardown having their first competitive tests while Sophie Christiansen, Anne Dunham, Lee Pearson and Jo Pitt will be looking to improve their performances from yesterday to secure gold for Britain and individually.
