We speak to Anne Mitchell – founder and head coach at Barrow Farm RDA Centre , to find out why they started and all about the great work that they do.
“People often ask me how did Barrow Farm start, and in a very small way is the answer. In the April a leaflet about R.D.A. was put through our door, suggesting ways to help or maybe start a group. As I had left my job I was at a loose end. We had ponies and fields. So we thought, we could start a group, mum would be group organizer and I could teach one morning a week, do my bit for charity. I often wonder now, who put that leaflet through our letterbox…”

“I decided it was going to be an ‘all or nothing’ test and Casper agreed with me pulling out all the stops and feeling super and WE WON – with a score of 71%! On the third and last day of the regionals we were all starting to feel a little tired. Travelling back and forth and making sure I rode the others that were at home, and then doing the tests at the competition, was taking its toll. But it’s worth it when…”
