EXCLUSIVE: Norton Heath Equestrian Centre withdrawn from market

Essex equestrian venue Norton Heath Equestrian Centre has been withdrawn from the property market to the relief of many Essex riders and equestrian competitors!

Following on from our exclusive news story on 1st March, when Norton Heath Equestrian Centre was put up for sale with estate agents Zoe Napier Country & Equestrian (for the full story please click here), owner Tonie Finch has decided to withdraw the equestrian property from the market.

“We all live at Norton Heath as a big family, with myself, my son and my daughter and her family all residing on the property, and it was difficult to find anything out there that was similar! After much thought we have decided to stay put, especially as we have a very full diary in 2012 and we want to honour our commitments.”

Tonie went on to explain that Charley Nathan, of Equestrian Events Ltd, has taken on the organisation of the showjumping at Norton Heath, following the closure of Towerlands Equestrian Centre. Tonie added that Charley has done a fantastic job in promoting and running the shows thus far, working alongside her skilled team – they have some big shows planned in the near future including the very popular affiliated and unaffiliated Halloween shows.

“When the centre was for sale, the only interested parties were non equestrian, and I don’t want to see equestrian centres fall by the wayside,” said horse owner Tonie, “when I decided to stay, I was overwhelmed with the way people have reacted, and I received some really kind texts and emails.”

Zoe Napier added that whilst in one way it is disappointing, as an equestrienne herself, she is relieved that Essex stays on the map still having a top national equestrian venue in the county!
